Julie Drochelman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, serving the state of Washington and a Licensed Clinical Professional Couneslor, serving the state of Idaho.

Julie spent a total of three years in graduate school-one year at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and two years at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, where she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She trained extensively under the supervision of Holly Pankratz at Westminster in Bellevue, Washington. There she treated individuals, children, couples, and families in a clinical setting.

Julie has extensive experience in Family Systems Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Therapies, Attachment Theory, Shadow Work, and Emotion Focused Therapy. She considers herself an eclectic therapist, which means she pulls from all appropriate modalities in order to uniquely tailor her work to each individual client. For her, psychotherapy is both a science and an art form.

Since 2018, Julie has owned and operated a private practice where she helps individuals discover their authentic selves, more deeply understand their own personal stories, and heal the elements of their lives that need deep compassion and care.

Julie considers herself an uncharacteristic Christian. Her faith and belief in God is the driving force of her calling as a therapist. She lovingly and openly honors and welcomes all faiths and beliefs into her therapeutic space.

Julie is a member of the American Counseling Association and Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology.

​

When she's not in therapy sessions, you can find her outdoors or in the kitchen! With a passion for nature and staying active, she enjoys hiking, cycling, paddleboarding, and skiing. She also has a deep love for baking and cooking focusing on incorporating healthy foods into her lifestyle.
